ALTAR GUILD: Needs a few good hands. Laundering, as well as basic cleanup and setup, breakdown and kitchen detail are typical duties. There are
special season needs, like just before Advent, just before Christmas, just before Lent, just
before Holy Week, just before Pentecost, just before August 28 (St. Augustine’s Day) etc.
Meetings are the first Monday of every month at 9:30 a.m. in the Bishop Baker Parish

BELL TOWER GIFT SHOP: Volunteers currently work four hours (mornings or afternoon)
once per week. The shop is open 7 days a week, whenever there are no Masses. Sales experience is not necessary and you will always have a paid

CATHEDRAL TOURS: Right now we have three trained docents (you share info and get smarter with each tour) It would be lovely if we would have tours available 7 days a week, whenever there are no Masses. CATHOLIC CHARITIES: 225 West King Street (next to Amar Beauty Store) They
need volunteers for every kind of work: assistance with pantry, organize clothing, respite
care, office work (so the social workers can do their work) etc. Work as much/little as you

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA, Court 23 is primarily a spiritual society,
tending carefully to our Catholic heritage. They take care of the older nuns, priests and

CFP -- CHRISTIAN FORMATION PROGRAM: This is our catechism program for
our K-12 kids. Volunteer teachers work step-by-step to prepare youth. You can be a

DISABILITIES MINISTRIES: primarily focuses on hearing impaired. We always need
signers and people who want to learn signing (for the 9:00 am Mass at the Cathedral). As
with every educational ministry, background support in the classroom and in the office is
always welcome: it frees up the professionals like Father Rene to do what they specialize
in. This ministry would like to address access to buildings issues, but has never had a sub-
committee large enough to pull this off. Father Rene: 825-4527.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: You not only assist with distribution of communion at
Mass, but have opportunities to take the Eucharist to the homebound and/or Hospital. A
special training class is required. We could double the number of Eucharistic Ministers we have now and still not
have enough. If you can receive the sacraments, then you can give the sacrament of holy

FAITH SHARING: is a weekly meeting of committed Catholics to learn the Scriptures

Eucharistic Minister, help can be given here with organization (calling people to confirm

organization, which is of invaluable assistance to the parish and the apostolic works of the

in the transition from a giving to the Church mentality to Stewardship as a way of life

that our many guests can be assisted at Communion time, and so that bulletins and other
